Why Valiant

Academics

Valiant College Preparatory graduates are college bound students who have developed an appreciation for life long learning, and young adults who understand that character, dedication, and excellence make them stand out as leaders in the larger, global community.

Valiant’s academics support our commitment to every student, and are guided by our consistent focus on our mission and values.

Our curriculum adheres to the high school standards set by the State of Arizona, and available classes include a mix of electives along with all core courses of study: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Athletics

Valiant College Preparatory competes nationally and is recognized as one of the top wrestling programs in the country.

“Valiant Prep, one of the top high school wrestling programs in the country, is hosting its first dual this weekend, and they’ve invited a team of all-stars from around the nation to challenge them.”

Our elite coaches have World and National Championship experience and bring a one of a kind approach to achieving personal bests with each athlete. The proof is in the results. Every one of our graduates has received an academic or athletic scholarship (or both) to their college or university of choice.

Accreditation

Valiant is accredited by Cognia and WASC. We are also recognized by the National Association of Independent Schools.

Cognia

Cognia Performance Standards are at the heart of continuous improvement and accreditation. They define the characteristics of a good education institution and provide guidelines for efforts that will energetically and visibly grow learners, teachers, leaders, and organizations.

The Cognia system accreditation model helps Valiant meet improvement goals and sustain commitments to better learner outcomes, and it delivers pivotal insights to help set improvement priorities per each accreditation cycle.

NAIS

The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) is a nonprofit membership association that provides services to more than 2,000 schools and associations of schools in the United States and abroad, including more than 1,600 nonprofit, private K-12 schools in the U.S. that are self-determining in mission and program and are governed by independent boards. As the largest association of independent schools, NAIS co-creates the future of education by uniting and empowering our community.

National Honor Society

Valiant College Preparatory’s highest achieving students aren’t just leaders in the making: They are already respected role models in their learning community.

The NHS program empowers and equips our students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders in our school, community, and beyond. In addition, it provides a necessary bridge between students and school leaders; helping Valiant to engage and hear what students think, feel, and need.

As NHS members, Valiant students have access to: LEAD Conferences, NHS Scholarships, and College and Career Readiness Webinars.
